Re: SANTA NIGHT IN DOWNTOWN LOWELL!

On Friday December 8th, 2006, between 7:00 and 10:00 forty of Santa's Helpers will be singing and raising money for children's therapies at Ironstone Farm. THE SUN and our own Mayor Bill Martin will be "on the sleigh" for this first annual Santa Night in Downtown Lowell. Participants have raised $200 each in pledges to help support children in Greater Lowell to receive the unique "therapy of the horse" at Ironstone Farm during 2007. Their reward is a fifteen "roof-top" caroling extravaganza with the Santa Night singers!

Regional business owners will be visiting participating "roof-tops" (restaurants, pubs and nightclubs) singing carols, creating holiday spirit and Passing the Santa Sack for donations. This event is sponsored by Ironstone Farm and the Lowell Sun, and hopes to raise $15,000 - 100% of which will help children throughout Greater Lowell.

Santa Night is happening in cities and towns all over the world this December 8th. We are part of Santa Night International, a special event created by FunRaising101 whose primary focus is to build non-profit special events that are fun and profitable - and most importantly for the folks at Ironstone - put the "Fun" back in Fundraising!

Ironstone Farm is home to the non-profit Challenge Unlimited (CU) therapeutic riding programs that provide physical, occupational, speech and recreational therapies for people with disabilities using horses in the unique and encouraging environment of a working farm. The organization strives to provide services for all children who can benefit, regardless of ability to pay. More than 1000 individuals participated in 2006, with the help of more than 150 weekly volunteers. Santa Night proceeds will create a sponsorship "adoption" fund to open doors for children from Greater Lowell to become part of what has become known throughout the Merrimack Valley as the Ironstone Farm Family.
