Summer Camp 2010An included programWelcome to Ironstone Farm Summer Camp! For over 20 years, our camp has provided students with a fun and safe environment in which to learn basic horsemanship skills and enjoy their camp experience with new friends from many different communities. A Staff of dedicated and knowledgeable professionals and counselors provide the tools and skills to ensure a positive experience for the students. Below is an overview of our camp programs. Please call the office with any questions. Please check with the office regarding age appropriateness of the sessions. What we offer:
Each morning session will include: Vaulting/Basic Training Lesson Lecture Riding Lesson Horse Management Show Day On Friday of each week, students are able to demonstrate what they've learned at camp. Each rider is invited to bring family and friends to watch them ride. We end the day with an award presentation. Afternoon Session The afternoon camp
session will focus on developing leadership skills and teamwork within
the farm environment. A variety of activities will include horsemanship,
games, and arts & crafts. The daily format will be geared to the
individual skills of the participants. For those students participating in both the morning and afternoon sessions, there will be a supervised lunch break from 1:00pm to 2:00pm. Please pack a lunch! What to bring: Sneakers & Boots Britches, sweats or jeans Insect Repellent Sunscreen Snack or lunch Equestrian helmet * Bring plenty to drink
~ we suggest a bottle that can be refilled with water!
