Welcome to Ironstone Farm Summer Camp! For over 20 years, our camp has provided students with a fun and safe environment in which to learn basic horsemanship skills and enjoy their camp experience with new friends from many different communities.

A Staff of dedicated and knowledgeable professionals and counselors provide the tools and skills to ensure a positive experience for the students.

Each morning session will include:

Vaulting/Basic Training Lesson

Lecture

Riding Lesson

Horse Management

Show Day

On Friday of each week, students are able to demonstrate what they've learned at camp. Each rider is invited to bring family and friends to watch them ride. We end the day with an award presentation.

Afternoon Session

The afternoon camp session will focus on developing leadership skills and teamwork within the farm environment. A variety of activities will include horsemanship, games, and arts & crafts. The daily format will be geared to the individual skills of the participants.

For those students participating in both the morning and afternoon sessions, there will be a supervised lunch break from 1:00pm to 2:00pm. Please pack a lunch!

What to bring:

Sneakers & Boots

Britches, sweats or jeans

Insect Repellent

Sunscreen

Snack or lunch

Equestrian helmet *

Bring plenty to drink ~ we suggest a bottle that can be refilled with water!

*An equestrian helmet is a safety requirement. We cannot provide helmets to students!

Morning sessions are from 9am to 1pm with a cost of $325.

Afternoon sessions are from 2pm to 5pm with a cost of $225.

Both morning and afternoon sessions with a cost of $525.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Registration and payment required by May 1, 2010

We MUST have the following from you by 5/1/10:

Emergency Release Form (2 pg)
Ill child Policy and Insect Repellent & Sunscreen Application Permission Form
Evaluation: Required for students not currently enrolled in lessons at Ironstone. Please call the office to schedule this appointment at least two weeks prior to your first week of camp. The cost is $30.
Current Immunization Record & Physical (from physician's office - current within 24 months)
Payment in full.

Registrations received after May 1 are subject to additional administrative fees.

Camp spots are assigned on a first registered, first served basis.

The Ironstone summer camp programs are inspected and licensed by the Andover Board of Health and meet the regulations developed by the Massachusetts Dept. of Public Health.
